Like many others, Amy began her running journey in 2016 to complete "just one" marathon. Her debut at the distance race sparked a love affair with the sport's training, community and challenges and progressed from 4:26 to 2:55 to become the first female in Inverness, Highland to break the elusive 3-hour barrier in 2019. She also holds a PB of 1:18 for the half and 17:50 for the 5km.

For Amy the podium isnt the goal, even after collecting her fair share of wins. She treasures the quiet victories of a pain free run after injury, the breakthroughs in training and the camaraderie of volunteering at events. Having returned from two years away from racing, she knows the grit it takes to start from scratch and rise from major set backs.
